Tribute to Beethoven; Pianist challenges music "marathon"

Last night, at the Xiamen International Conference Center Concert Hall, the famous pianist Yuan Jie and the Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra, together with conductor Tristan Rais-Sherman, created a record for the Xiamen Piano Concerto Concert. This concert started earlier than most concerts, at 18:30, and ended later than most concerts, at 22:20, and was as exciting as a marathon. The nearly 4-hour "Complete Beethoven" Piano Concerto Concert was not only a comprehensive tribute to Beethoven's music, but also an innovative breakthrough in the tradition of classical music.
